The Lewis & Clark Bicentennial archive contains records related to the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition, which began from Charlottesville in 1803. The first national event occurred at Charlottesville, January 14-19, 2003 (Exposition Week), and subsequent events (Signature Events) at locations along the Lewis & Clark trail.

The Thomas Jefferson Foundation (TJF) created a Lewis & Clark Committee which cooperated with other organizations including:

The National Council of the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial, also known as National Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Council, the organizer of the nationwide commemoration (Bicentennial Council)
